A Letter to a Lost Friend
I see in you the desire to know, the quest for knowledge. You ask many questions about things you probably already know the answer to. I do not believe are meeting on the net is just an extraordinary concatenation of fanatically implausible occurrence. I believe we were introduced so I could present Jesus Christ to you. God comes to a person at many points in their lifetime. He presents himself to that person truthfully. Sometimes the person understands and quickly accepts the truth. Other times the person walks away and shuts the door (God will not shut the door). Then there are folks like you who God comes to, but because you know scripture, and you have head knowledge it is hard for you to accept the simplicity of the gospel. God then sends someone like me, (there are very few of us) who becomes Gods verbal mouthpieces in order to bring about light. The darkness can not comprehend the light. The dark does not understand it. A man must look through the darkness of worldly knowledge and ambition to see that light which sometimes appears to be a pinhead in the distance. The closer you come to that pinhead of light you will notice that it is coming through a keyhole in the door. The key is on your side of the door, it is loose enough in the lock that light bleeds through. The light has drawn you though it was distant and darkness has engulfed you. To leave the darkness into true love and feel real compassion all you must do is turn the key. Jesus says that He stands at the door and knocks, if anyone will open the door He will come in and sup with Him. Once Christ has entered, the darkness no longer remains. The darkness can only return when the light is turned off.
You friend in Christ,
Dale Thompson
