Evolution
Genesis 1:1 " In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth," fact or fiction? Creation, mentioned in the first chapter of the Bible, is Gods Neanderthal. The hubble telescope, big bang, dinosaurs, science, ice age, and UFO's, what do all of these have in common? Answer...ways man tries to discredit and disprove the existence of God. From scientist to the liberal theologians, mankind has tried to lesson the importance of a Supreme Being so that man himself can be God. If man can prove the theory of evolution or even the existence of extraterrestrial life, then he can disprove the Bible and strip God of his deity. (If Jesus was really the Son of God, did he die for aliens also?) If science is so infallible, why is it unable to produce enough DNA evidence to convict the murderer on a day old murder scene where two people are slain and blood and evidence is in great abundance. Science tells us that they have proof that the world is over a billion years old. How can we trust in science?
Genesis is regarded as humanity's first, revolutionary statement of the notion that there is but one God. And this one God (Hebrews 11:3) "framed the worlds by his word (Jesus) so that the things which are seen were not made of things which do appear."
Luke 11:34 says "the light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single (clear) thy whole body is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body is also full of darkness." Knowing that sight is a miracle of God, people fail to see the miracle of complexity on viewing things at 100,000 times magnification. The perfection of the complexity is not something which could evolve but rather that which has been created. Millions of nerve cells are interconnect in many different ways to form a brain. Much of what the photoreceptor's see is interpreted and processed by the retina long before it enters the brain. The eye itself becomes a tiny computer which processes, then transfers information to be evaluated within the larger more complex computer - the brain.
St. John 1:3-4 says "All thing's were made by him (Jesus); and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the "light" of men. Those who cling to the theory of evolution are those whose eye is dark and therefore cannot see the true light of creation. Genesis 1:3 "And God said, Let there be light and there was light. Evolution is a religion of science that is more difficult to prove than the events of creation. We have recorded chronological testimony from the Word of God concerning the creation of the universe. Genesis 1:27 "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them". Three times in that one verse the writer declares that God created man. Jesus confirmed this while speaking with the Pharisees is Judaea saying in Matthew 19:4 "Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female. Contrary to evolutionary dogma, the first man was not some stooped over dimwitted ape man. Adam was created in the image of God. He processed the ability to understand, to reason, and to worship God. God entrusted Adam to have dominion over the animals, (Genesis 1:28), and to name them. (Daniel 1:7)
In our modern day, "a thinking generation" where Romans 1:22-23 says, "Professing themselves to be wise they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and birds and four-footed beast, and creeping things." The book of Daniel talks of the end times when knowledge shall be increased, but how does man use the gift of knowledge? To exalt himself would be the correct answer.
Man wishes to serve the "creation" rather than the "Creator". Thinking this will spare him from the judgement to come.
John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God." What God created in the beginning of time was brought into existence by the spoken Word. Jesus was the spoken Word of God. Colossians 1:16 "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him." By sending forth his spirit he renewed the face of the earth and by him all things consist.
In speaking of evolution I find myself only able to speak of that which I know to be true "creation".
Psalms 19:1 "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork".
Knowing that Christianity is built on faith, the things unseen, we as believers should continue to walk by faith not by sight.
2 Peter 3:4 "And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. Verse 5 "For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the Word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against that day of judgement and perdition of ungodly men".
Speaking of the end times, the Apostle Peter not only warns of the teaching of evolution within the society but that this world will be consumed with fire because of ungodly men and their disbelief in what the scriptures say. Because of scientific uniformitarianism, man, within the scientific institutions and community, still searches for their origin when the answer is in God's Holy Word. God has warned that his wrath is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. Romans 1:20 "For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: verse 21 goes on to say "Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish
heart was darkened.
So as scripture clearly teaches, we are without excuse. We must believe in God's supernatural interventions even when it is contrary to scientific proof. The theory of evolution teaches that all forms of life derived by gradual modification from earlier and simpler forms or from one rudimentary form. The theory or cosmic evolution claims that from lower units of matter (atoms and molecules) the vast material suns, moons, stars and planets and universe were formed by themselves.
The Church must endure sound doctrine, deny the desires which would turn them away from the truth and denounce the myths of man's logic and imagination. This can only be done if we follow God's spirit into all righteous truth. It takes courage to commit and maintain doctrinal purity.
Evolution is just one attack on our faith in God from the devil. A new morality has been introduced to the Cchurch and many have adapted to it out of weakness. What was once called homosexuality is now called gay; fornication is now called premarital sex; and even adulterers are up for theological debate. When the Church looks the other way and gives its full blessings upon sin to enter in to be practiced openly, where does that leave Jesus and the cross? Why would he have suffered and died if sin was going to be permitted?
Science has little to do with the theory of evolution. Evolution is more properly considered a naturalist philosophy or worldview that seeks to explain the origin of life materialistically. Evolution is full of huge gaps and is an unproven theory. There isn't even a single proven evolutionary transition that exists anywhere in the fossil record. We are correct in concluding that paleotological histories of the plants and animals simply do not exist. Biologist will plainly tell you that they do not actually know the phylogenetic history of any group of plants and animals, since it lies in the indecipherable past.
The living world is indescribably complex and modern science has failed to uncover or explain the nature of abiogenesis (that life can originate from non-life). In effect, to believe that the universe "just happened", the skeptic must place an enormous amount of faith in the purposeless laws of physics, and chance chemistry. As much faith or more than that which the Christian demonstrates in the God of the Bible.
The evolutionary religion is consistently inconsistent. Scientists rely upon the rational order of the universe to make accomplishments, yet the evolutionist tells us the rational universe had an irrational beginning from nothing.
To believe in evolution is to: accept the pagan philosophies in preference to God, Christ and the Holy Spirit. It nullifies the idea of the Bible, the miracles and the authority. It degrades the Godly image of man. It eliminates the virgin birth of Christ (Isaiah 7:14, 9:6-7, Matthew 1:18-25), It denies the bodily resurrection of Jesus from the dead. It denies the atonement, for according to evolution there was no fall of man and therefore no sin to make atonement for.
As Christians, we are to believe that God created all things (Genesis 1:1, Psalm 8:1-9, Isaiah 45:18). God created all things by Jesus Christ (Ephesians 3:9, Colossians 1:15-18). And all things were created for His pleasure (Revelations 4:11).
The Bible declares 10 times in Genesis that everything created by the Word of God was given power to reproduce its own kind (Genesis 1:20-28). Now, after more than 6000 years, the law of reproduction is still unbroken.
If evolution ever worked, then it should be working today so that every form or stage of development could be seen as proof that the lower forms of life will eventually be the higher in the age to come.
Because of the church's failure to appreciate the threat of evolutionism (the foundation of humanism, which denies absolutes) society has allowed evolutionist Supreme Court judges to progressively twist the U.S. Constitution and usher in freedom from religion rather than freedom of religion.
