Science verses Faith
Science claims that certain portions of the bible may in fact be true. Instead of disclaiming that the bible is the true source of God some scientist have embarked on a mission and have now decided to take a active role in explaining the events of the bible using scientific methods. Remember folks no matter what science says it is contradictory to the Word of God. The only explanation that I can accept concerning the bible is that it is the inspired Word of God given by divine revelation through men of God (2 Peter 1:21). Philippians 2:16 "Holding forth the Word of life; that I might rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain". God's Word is life! If we accept any explanations of science concerning events in the bible such as (the parting of the Red Sea, the Star of Bethlehem, the raising of Lazarus from the dead) we will lose the divine supernaturally authority of God the Father. Science will not accept the fact that God has power so they credit nature and natural occurrences to say yes some of these events may have taken place but did not take place the way the bible would describe them. Science cannot see with spiritual eyes thus fail to see that the Word of God is actually living and active (Hebrews 4:12) Noah's ark for instance is said by some scientist to still exist of Mt Ararat. However the explanation they give for it resting on a mountain is not the biblical account. Some researchers claim that the Ark rest there because of a title wave and not an actual global flooding. Some claim there was a flood but not over the entire earth and surely not higher than the mountains. It is this way of thinking that lessens the importance of God in our life. Believe the bible for what it says. Psalms 119:160-161 "Thy Word is true from the beginning", "but my heart standeth in awe of thy word". Study to show yourself approved and do not be led astray with false doctrine which would desire to govern your thinking. Psalms 119:105 "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path". God's word brings direction. 1 Peter 2:2 "As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word that ye may grow thereby: If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious". God's word is also a pure (Psalms 19:8) source of spiritual food not to be contaminated with compromise and corrections. His word is also all power able to create Hebrews 11:3 "Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God". Name one world that man has ever had the ability to create from nothing? If we throw out even one story of the Holy Scriptures based on scientific study and research we might as well throw it all out. If God made one mistake in having his Word recorded then the entire account is false and that makes God a liar.
My stance on science verses Christianity is that we do not need science to prove a single letter of the inspired word. Here is my reasoning. Acts 16:16 a women possessed with the spirit of divination met Paul and Silas. She followed them around proclaiming "These men are the servants of the most high God" She this for many days. Paul became grieved and cast the spirit out of her. Why would he do such a thing to a women who was agreeing with his work? First he did not want the teachers of the law to associate him with Beelzebub, the prince of devils, just like they tried to do to Jesus in Mark 3:22. To accept the testimony of demons or from witches about himself would give a precedent to his followers to accept (or even seek) testimony of demons concerning other things. This would threaten to make Jesus' movement an occult movement. In Matthew 4:9-10 Jesus refused the kingdoms of this world from Satan. Next Christianity is based 100% on faith not on evidence, not on authoritative testimony. We that take the risk of faith become disciples and learn more, but others receive teaching only in obscure parables (Mark 4:11-12, 33-34).
So you see science and worldly evidence will remain blind to the truth because they look through carnal eyes when the things of God are spiritual.
