God Became Flesh
Philippians 2:6-7 "Who being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men." Jesus though God in the flesh, committed himself to humanity in the form of a servant. Jesus gave up a lot to become a man and to gain our salvation by his death on the cross and his resurrection after three days in the ground. 2 Corinthians 8:9 "For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich."
When you think that no one understands what your going through consider what Jesus went through for you. He suffered physically, spiritually and mentally being tortured upon the cross as a sacrifice in our place for sin. He understands the frustrations of life and the low points. Jesus had many low points in his life. One of his best friends "John the Baptist" was beheaded, another friend Judas betrayed him into the hands of sinners to be executed and Peter one of his most loyal followers and supporters denied that he even knew Jesus on three different occasions.
His life was surrounded by sorrow, betrayal, deceit, doubt, fear and every negative force pressed hard against him (Isaiah 53:3). Though he was tempted tried and tested in every way, Jesus remained true to God, to himself and to humanity by not going astray or loosing faith. In everything he did, he did in love and great compassion.
Jesus gave himself willingly for me. I could have never obtained the hope of salvation on my own. Salvation is a gift from God, which Jesus brought to earth. Salvation was far too high for me to grasp on my own.
Though I was not worthy and I stood before him in filthy rags of unrighteousness he forgave me of my sins and put his spirit into my heart. This is the greatest gift to all humanity.
Though I deserved death for my ungodliness and sins, God showed mercy upon me. Called me with his voice, upon my confession of sin and surrender to him, he placed his spirit into me, adopted me into the family of God and now I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
